Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to prepare, coat, and finish industrial equipment and components according to quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial coatings, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, blasting, masking, and priming
- Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment
- Mix paints and coatings according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines
- Inspect finished products to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish quality
- Maintain painting equipment, tools, and work areas
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and ventilation systems
- Read and follow work orders and coating specifications
- Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1–3 years of experience as an industrial painter (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of industrial coatings, surface preparation, and paint application methods
- Ability to operate spray guns and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and hazardous materials handling
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with epoxy, polyurethane, or corrosion-resistant coatings
- Ability to read coating specifications
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
