TITLE: Volunteer Coordinator
Vitality Hospice is seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Volunteer Coordinator to lead all aspects of our hospice volunteer program. This role is essential in ensuring our volunteers are well-supported, properly trained, and meaningfully connected with the patients and families we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all volunteer program activities, including recruitment, onboarding, training, placement, and retention of hospice volunteers.
- Match volunteers with patients and families based on skills, interests, and care needs.
- Conduct regular volunteer training programs and ensure full compliance with Medicare hospice volunteer requirements.
- Maintain volunteer service hours equal to at least 5% of total patient care hours, as required.
- Spend approximately 50–75% of time in the field recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers.
- Manage volunteer-related expenses responsibly and in alignment with company budget.
- Travel as needed to support volunteer operations across the service area.
