1st-2nd Grade Teacher (blended classroom)
Vision Christian Academy – Williston, FL
Vision Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and structured Elemen Teacher to deliver daily instruction using the Abeka curriculum. This position focuses on building strong academic foundations in reading, phonics, handwriting, and math within a structured, teacher-led classroom environment.
Primary Focus Areas
- Phonics-based reading and comprehension
- Handwriting and spelling development
- Foundational math skills
- Classroom structure, discipline, and routine
- Character development and positive classroom culture
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily instruction using the Abeka curriculum
- Maintain an organized, structured classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents and administration
- Reinforce strong reading habits and foundational academic skills
- Foster a safe, engaging, and academically focused learning environment
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred
- At minimum a Bachelors Degree out of field with experience
- Experience teaching early elementary grades preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Passion for helping students build strong academic foundations
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
