Position Overview
The Low Voltage Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing low-voltage integration projects across high-rise construction environments. This role requires expertise in fiber optic infrastructure, Cat6 structured cabling, ONT deployments, smart lock systems, security cameras, internet/network installations, and other integrated low-voltage solutions.
You will coordinate schedules, teams, vendors, and subcontractors, while also providing technical guidance and ensuring VIP Systems’ standards are met for every installation. Frequent travel to job sites across the U.S. is required.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Coordination
- Manage all phases of low-voltage integration projects for high-rise new construction developments.
- Create and maintain project schedules, coordinate manpower, and track progress to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely with GCs, developers, electricians, IT partners, and vendors to define scope, requirements, and timelines.
- Oversee installation activities for fiber networks, structured cabling, smart locks, access control, cameras, WiFi, and network systems.
Technical Oversight
- Provide hands-on technical support and guidance for fiber optic installation, Cat6 cabling, ONTs, camera systems, and low-voltage devices.
- Review plans, riser diagrams, and system layouts to confirm design accuracy and field readiness.
- Assist teams with system integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Quality Assurance
- Perform site walk-throughs and inspections to ensure installations follow VIP Systems’ standards and industry best practices.
- Identify issues proactively and implement corrective actions.
- Verify that all products (smart locks, cameras, ONTs, network gear, etc.) are installed and configured correctly.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary project contact for clients, construction teams, and ownership groups.
- Provide regular updates, progress reports, and technical explanations.
- Address questions, concerns, and post-installation service needs professionally and promptly.
Training & Team Support
- Assist in training subcontractors, internal technicians, and property staff on system operation and maintenance.
- Support onboarding of new field team members on installation processes and equipment standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain and update project documentation including drawings, test results, punch lists, change orders, and installation reports.
- Ensure all systems are properly labeled, documented, and handed off to the client.
Travel
- Travel regularly to job sites across the U.S., primarily high-rise development locations, to manage installations and support teams.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in low-voltage integration, structured cabling, telecommunications, or technical project management.
- Direct experience with fiber installation, cabling, smart locks, access control, cameras, networks, or other integrated low-voltage systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, risers, and schematics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and manage multiple active job sites.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationwide.

Pay: $38.49 - $46.35 per hour
