Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Service Technician to support troubleshooting, maintenance, and service work for low voltage systems in Miami-area properties. This role focuses on diagnosing issues, performing repairs, completing system upgrades, and supporting clients post-installation across residential, hospitality, and commercial environments.
The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with integrated low voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, service, and repair low voltage systems including access control, CCTV, networking, Wi-Fi, smart locks, and AV systems
- Respond to service calls and diagnose system issues efficiently and professionally
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and reconfiguration as needed
- Coordinate with project managers and service coordinators on scope, scheduling, and documentation
- Replace or upgrade equipment including cameras, readers, controllers, switches, cabling, and related hardware
- Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and documentation
- Communicate clearly with clients, building staff, and internal teams
- Ensure work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company quality expectations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on experience in low voltage service or installation
- Strong knowledge of:
- Access control systems
- CCTV / IP camera systems
- Structured cabling (Cat6, fiber preferred)
- Networking fundamentals (switches, PoE, basic troubleshooting)
- Ability to read drawings, riser diagrams, and system layouts
- Experience working in occupied buildings and high-rise environments
- Strong troubleshooting, organization, and time-management skills
- Professional communication and customer-facing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with smart locks, intercoms, or building automation systems
- Manufacturer certifications (preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of AV systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to commute throughout Miami and surrounding areas
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders as needed
