VIP Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Service Manager to oversee and grow our service department. This role is focused on low voltage technologies, including CCTV, access control, audio-visual systems, and related infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on customer service excellence, technician management, and service contract development.

The Service Manager will be responsible for daily service operations, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and identifying new service opportunities and recurring maintenance contracts.

Key ResponsibilitiesService Operations & Technical Oversight

  • Manage all low voltage service operations, including:
  • CCTV systems (IP cameras, monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance)
  • Access control systems (card readers, controllers, locks, door hardware, integrations)
  • Audio-visual systems (conference rooms, displays, speakers, amplifiers, control systems)
  • Related low voltage systems such as intercoms, structured cabling, network-connected devices, and system integrations
  • Ensure service work complies with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and system optimization.
  • Coordinate service work with engineering, project management, and sales teams when required.

Technician & Team Management

  • Supervise, schedule, and manage low voltage service technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure technicians follow safety protocols, documentation standards, and company procedures.
  • Review service tickets, reports, and job close-outs for accuracy and quality.
  • Support technician development and continuous improvement.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for service customers.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service through clear communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Manage escalations and ensure customer concerns are addressed effectively.
  • Conduct follow-ups after service calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.

Service Contracts & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new service contracts, maintenance agreements, and recurring service opportunities.
  • Support the sales team with service-related proposals, scopes of work, and pricing.
  • Review customer systems to recommend upgrades, improvements, or preventive maintenance plans.
  • Maintain and grow existing service contracts through proactive engagement.

Administration, Reporting & Financial Oversight

  • Track service labor, materials, and costs to ensure profitability.
  • Review service invoices and coordinate billing with accounting.
  • Monitor service performance metrics, response times, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with forecasting service department workload and revenue.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in low voltage systems service management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong technical background in CCTV, access control, and audio-visual systems.
  • Proven experience managing technicians and service operations.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience identifying service opportunities and supporting recurring revenue growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple service requests and priorities.
  • Proficient with service management tools, ticketing systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing service contracts and maintenance agreements.
  • Familiarity with enterprise and commercial low voltage systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturer standards and best practices.
  • Experience working in fast-paced service environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
