Victim Outreach Incorporated (VOI) is a non-profit organization that provides law enforcement-based victim assistance to citizens who have been hurt by crime or other trauma. We contract with the police departments of Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Edgewater, Lakeside, Mountain View and the Colorado School of Mines and offer services to people who report to police in these communities. Our Mission is to promote the healing of people impacted by crime and trauma with the Vision that they recover to lead healthy, productive and inspired lives.
VOI, in partnership with local and state agencies, is launching the Evergreen Resiliency Center (ERC)—a collaborative, multi-agency initiative designed to provide compassionate, coordinated support to individuals and the broader Evergreen community affected by the Evergreen High School shooting on September 10, 2025. The ERC’s mission is to promote healing, connection, and long-term resiliency by offering accessible services, resources, and guidance to those impacted.
We are seeking to fill the part-time position of Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for supporting patron experience and day-to-day operations within the center.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
This position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all those impacted by the Evergreen High School shooting and the greater Evergreen community. The Administrative Assistant manages the center’s front desk, checking in clients, providing basic office management and administrative support services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· A combination of formal education, training, and/or experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
· Comfortable working with clients/customs under stress or experiencing mental health challenges.
· Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
· In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
· Ability to pass a police background investigation
· A valid driver’s license
· Have and maintain reliable transportation
· Ability to work in an office environment.
· Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the workday.
· Ability to move about the office to access file cabinets, supplies, and office equipment as needed
· Ability to use a computer and associated peripherals (keyboard, mouse, monitors, phone, etc.) for up to eight hours per day.
· Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· High school diploma and/or 2 years’ experience in clerical, administrative or customer service work. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
· Ability to work independently, to problem-solve, and to identify and meet the needs of a new position and program.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various individuals and groups from diverse cultural backgrounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Front Desk & Resource Referral:
· Greet clients in a prompt, courteous manner.
· Offer support and appropriate routing to clients who are seeking connection to resources.
· Maintain a welcoming and non-judgmental environment, fostering trust and confidentiality for all individuals seeking assistance.
· Monitor entrance, keeping accurate account of all traffic in and out of the center.
· Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries, directing them to the appropriate resources and services.
Administrative Support & Record Keeping:
· Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records according to The Evergreen Resiliency Center guidelines and standards, while respecting privacy and confidentiality protocols.
· Adherence to confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines regarding client information.
· Support the execution of biweekly Advisory Board meetings in coordination with The Evergreen Resiliency Center staff.
· Monitor and maintain center inventory of office and program supplies.
· Manage the center check-in process, including electronic record keeping and updating, data entry, and calendar management.
· Manage social media engagement in coordination with the Center Director and Advisory Board.
Team Collaboration
· Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment within the resiliency center.
· Participate in regular team meetings to discuss ongoing initiatives, share insights, and address any challenges in collaboration.
· Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and support groups for center clients, ensuring a safe and affirming atmosphere in coordination with the Center Director.
· Occasionally support the planning and execution of special events, such as venue bookings, material and food orders, etc.
