The POS Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate pricing, cost integrity, and item setup across all store locations. This role supports store operations by ensuring that all products are correctly costed, priced, and functioning properly within the POS system.

- Cost Management & Maintenance
- Update and manage cost sheets for Meat, Produce, Prepared Foods, and Seafood
- Maintain and update vendor cost files
- Maintain and update supply cost imports
- Validate cost accuracy against invoices and vendor communications
- Invoicing
- Review invoices for cost discrepancies
- Work directly with vendors to resolve pricing issues
- Support NOF (New Item/Not on File) resolution process
- Retail Pricing & Execution
- Conduct store-level retail audits
- Ensure proper margin alignment based on company targets
- Validate promotional and everyday pricing execution
- Conduct store visits to verify pricing accuracy and execution
- Support departments with pricing corrections and updates
- Movement Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and analyze movement reports
- Identify fast movers, slow movers, and dead stock
- Work closely with Accounting, Store Managers, and Department Managers
- Support new item setup and item maintenance in POS
- Assist with system cleanup (duplicates, incorrect UPCs, etc.)
- Ensure consistency across all store locations
- Travelling between store locations (Weekly)
- 3-5 years’ experience in grocery retail or POS systems preferred
- Strong Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution
- Strong communication skills with vendors and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
