This is a working supervisory position responsible for the leadership and development of the patient care team. Technical skills that you will be utilizing (and teaching!) include: Client education and communication Compassionate patient care Patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Anesthesia induction and monitoring Lab sample collection and processing Venipuncture and catheter placement Pharmacy and medication administration Diagnostic imaging Medical recordkeeping Supervisory duties will include: Team training, development and support Implementing department policies and procedure Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs Record keeping Inventory ordering and management Equipment maintenance Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is required for this role, management experience preferred.
