Duties
As a Veterinary Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Performing laboratory tests and analyzing samples for diagnosis.
- Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitoring animal patients pre- and post-operatively for vital signs and recovery.
- Conducting routine procedures such as animal catheterization and blood draws.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Educating pet owners on proper animal care and health practices.
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and protocols.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to effectively assist in medical procedures.
- Proficiency in laboratory skills relevant to veterinary medicine.
- Experience with animal handling, restraint, and care techniques.
