JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for administering the organization’s information systems. This includes ensuring they meet internal and external compliance standards. This role involves conducting thorough system assessments to determine the effectiveness of controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of the organization’s information systems.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Configure and maintain information systems in accordance with best practices and project/operational requirements.

Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of system controls, policies, and procedures.

Analyze data and system configurations to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.

Provide information systems and application support.

Perform audits of business systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Maintain standard operating documentation (configuration standards, repeated processes).

Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for (but not limited to) system administration, interconnectivity, reporting, and data migration.

When required, respond to helpdesk tickets and urgent calls, document resolutions upon completion.

Stay current with evolving technologies, threats, and industry best practices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

2 years of experience in a systems administration or related role.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Proficiency with systems technologies, including security controls and databases.

Proficiency in evaluating systems against best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to manipulate equipment weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
