Description
We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing on-premises infrastructure to support business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server administration, virtualization, networking, and system troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage on-premises infrastructure including Windows Servers, VMware ESXi/vCenter, storage solutions, and networking components.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to servers, virtualization, and system operations on-site.
Conduct regular updates, patch management, system backups, and lifecycle maintenance for all on-premises systems.
Escalate unresolved technical challenges to senior IT leaders or external vendors when necessary.
Collaborate with IT team members to deliver consistent, secure, and high-quality services to the organization.
Document procedures, configurations, and any changes within the IT environment for reference and compliance.
Assist in implementing security protocols, monitoring tools, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard infrastructure.
Provide basic support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and printers as needed.
Requirements
Extensive experience with Windows Server administration including Active Directory, Group Policy, and related services.
Proficiency in VMware technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, VM provisioning, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with Office 365/Microsoft 365 services and hybrid integration setups.
Solid understanding of Cisco networking concepts including switches, firewalls, and general network infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with antivirus solutions and endpoint security tools.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in documentation.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
