Radiology Technologist MRI - Nights

Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, independently executing procedures and assisting licensed practitioners. They prepare patients, ensure safety, and optimize imaging protocols to produce high-quality data for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, evaluate images for quality, and manage data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, assist with interventional procedures, and apply magnetic resonance safety principles.
• Perform MRI procedures as prescribed, select pulse sequences, and participate in quality improvement activities.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification from ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR required.
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology training program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in routine and complex MRI duties, commitment to organizational priorities, and adherence to policies.
