Responsibilities Include
- Assessing call situations and determining appropriate actions following Paramedic protocols.
- Providing advanced medical care with equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids.
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families to ensure understanding and reassurance.
- Leading scene and unit management as a Paramedic team leader when needed.
- Driving the ambulance during 911 responses.
- Collaborating professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel.
- Participating in community outreach programs to promote the organization’s image and foster community relations.
- High school diploma or GED
- State Paramedic License and Driver’s License
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic
- Valid driving record and ability to pass physical agility tests
- Healthcare experience preferred
