MRI Technologist - Per Diem

Role Summary: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research magnetic resonance imaging using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field. They acquire, analyze, and evaluate imaging data for interpretation by licensed practitioners, ensuring patient safety and image quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and follow ALARA principles to ensure safety.
• Administer medications through vascular access as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and perform prescribed imaging tasks.
• Select suitable pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in all duties.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification by ARRT (R or MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB upon hire.
• Graduate from a Radiologic Technology program; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to perform routine and complex MRI procedures independently.
