We are a veteran-owned business that creates high quality compost and soil blends from food scraps. This job takes place in a farm environment and is a blend of customer service and administrative work. If you have a passion for environmental work or garden/ farming knowledge that's a plus, but not a requirement.
We are looking for a responsible, friendly Customer Ambassador to perform a variety of customer service and administrative tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include helping customers with issues related to our compost collection service, providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative and billing activities. Customer Ambassador responsibilities include customer service, billing, administrative support to operational staff and scheduling of orders from customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel, Google Drive and office equipment. If you have previous experience in customer service or executive administrative assistant and familiarity within our industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Customer Ambassador should ensure the enjoyable and efficient experience of our residential and commercial customers.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Respond to customer emails in a timely fashion
- Update routing software with customer requests
- Organize and schedule appointments/orders
- Invoice customers and manage online billing system
- Communicate regularly with operational staff
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Order supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Maintain contact lists
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
- Sales and Marketing research projects
Skills
- Proven experience in customer service or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Comfort with computers systems, Google Drive, and willingness to learn new software programs
- Ability to post and monitor social media including Facebook and Instgram
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
