Job Description
Vertiv is looking for a Materials and Manufacturing Planning Senior Analyst to work cross functionally with Project Management, Engineering and the Americas SIOP Demand team to ensure all demand input is summarized at the appropriate planning level. This person will lead weekly demand allocation reviews to ensure all demand input is allocated to the optimal production facility, gain consensus from the Production Planning Master Scheduler and provide analytical support and guidance to Planning, Purchasing and Project Delivery teams.
The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.
This is an onsite role in Westerville Ohio.

Responsibilities
- Review and update SIOP Demand Inputs (Backlog, Pipeline and Stat FC) to align with the appropriate Supply Planning detail level.
- Work with Sales Owner for High Confidence opportunities to facilitate plant level capacity allocation.
- Work with Planning, Project Management and Master Scheduler to allocate Demand to the optimal Production Facility.
- Ensure Intercompany Purchase Orders aligns to Plant Allocation plan
- Assist Project Management organization with Demand updates within IFS system
- Ensure all systems, Smartsheets and other ad hoc reporting tools are aligned, accurate and complete.
- Lead Bi Weekly FC Pipeline and Backlog review and allocation reviews to ensure all demand has been allocated to correct manufacturing locations
- Owner of all data inputs related to SIOP KP Metrics:
- On-time performance: PDSL and OTIF
- Capacity Utilization
- Production Schedule Adherence and Attainment
- DIO and Inventory Plan compliance
- Perform ad hoc analyses and other duties as required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, materials management, production planning or other material planning function.
- High analytical aptitude and technical competence
- Understanding MRP and Material Planning process and close interaction with Procurement/Buyer team
- Very proficient in spreadsheets, MS Office.
- Experience with ERP systems – IFS, Oracle EBS / Cyber Plan
- Knowledge of SIOP and production scheduling dynamics
- Analysis, Solving Problems and Making Decisions
- High Sense of Urgency and Attention to Detail are a must
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work with all levels of management and staff, across departments and locations
- BS is Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- APICS or CPM certification
- Up to 10%
