Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist at Vernon Health provides comprehensive rehabilitative services to patients within a rural health clinic setting and an inpatient setting. This role involves performing skilled evaluations, implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient recovery and functional independence. The Physical Therapist ensures high‑quality, evidence‑based care while educating patients and families on therapeutic techniques, equipment use, and home‑based programs. This position includes Outpatient and Inpatient coverage. Outpatient coverage will include a variety of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses as well as treating our growing pelvic health population. Continuing Education and mentoring is available for training with this patient population as well.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, establish treatment goals with patients, and deliver therapeutic interventions including exercise programs, physical agents, manual therapy, gait and balance training.
• Interpret and implement physician orders, assess patient status and function, track progress toward goals, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and communicate updates to referring providers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment, identify contraindications, adjust treatment plans to ensure safety, and report progress to Providers and Insurance companies.
• Instruct patients and families on use of assistive devices, home exercise programs, and provide education to other disciplines and community members as needed.
• Ensure safe and effective use of equipment and therapy space, promote best practices, and stay current with advancements in physical therapy.
• Conduct in-service training on various topics as needed for clinic and hospital staff as well as participate in training of other staff.
  
  

Qualifications

Education/Training:

• Current Wisconsin licensed Physical Therapist
• Current BLS certification
  
  

Hours, Wage & Benefits

• Hours:
• During Clinic hours from 6:30 am to 5:15 pm depending on need.

• Wage:starting at $38.58 with increases depending on experience
