Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory levels and movement.
- Oversee inventory management processes to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and implement process improvements.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely for materials handling tasks while adhering to OSHA standards.
- Coordinate logistics with 3PL providers and internal departments to ensure timely distribution and delivery.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory accuracy and implement lean management techniques for continuous process enhancement.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or team management within a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping & receiving, and logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (such as AS400 or similar platforms) and RF scanners.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and heavy lifting procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with materials handling equipment like forklifts; certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives using lean management principles.
- Background in e-commerce warehousing or 3PL operations is highly desirable.
