Position Details
Job Title: Systems Software Programmer – Project Lead
Location: Remote (SC Residents Only)
Duration: 12 Months (High possibility of extension)

- Candidate must be a CURRENT South Carolina resident (No relocation allowed)
- Remote role, but:
- Must report onsite Day 1 for equipment pickup
- Possible quarterly onsite visits for project milestones
Project Overview
This role will lead the design and delivery of a law enforcement switch system supporting secure, real-time data exchange across public safety systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong .NET development, SQL expertise, and technical leadership experience in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end execution of project phases including requirements, development, testing, and deployment
- Monitor project timelines, risks, and dependencies, and provide mitigation strategies
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
- Deliver regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership
System Design & Development
- Design and develop .NET-based applications using C#, ASP.NET, XML, JavaScript, and web services
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards
Database & Integration
- Oversee SQL Server development including:
- Complex queries
- Stored procedures
- Triggers
- Data optimization
- Manage integration between applications and law enforcement systems for seamless interoperability
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements aligned with public safety objectives
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units
- Review deliverables to ensure quality and completeness
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience developing .NET solutions (C#, ASP.NET, XML, JavaScript)
- 5 years of SQL Server experience (queries, stored procedures, triggers)
- Experience working with law enforcement systems / public safety / dispatch / communications environments
- Strong technical leadership and project delivery experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Government agencies or public sector enterprise systems
- Familiarity with large-scale, mission-critical system integrations
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of equivalent experience)
