Job Title: Data Architect
Location: Baton Rouge, LA ( Fully Remote)
Job Type: 6 months Contract
Note: Candidate must be local to MD, VA and Washington DC.
Job description:
- Design the vision and blueprint of the organization’s data framework.
- Design and manage enterprise data systems, establish policies governing how data is stored and accessed, coordinate multiple data sources across the organization, and integrate new data technologies into existing IT infrastructure.
- Perform data modeling and solution design activities, including support for software development and database administration.
Candidates must have expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas:
- 10 years of professional experience working within data ecosystems, including writing advanced SQL queries, building ETL pipelines, and designing scalable data architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable.
- Prior experience working with public health agencies (e.g., CDC, NIH, or State Departments
of Health) to modernize legacy data infrastructures.
