Our client is looking for a HR Generalist to support Human Resources activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with plant leadership and employees while providing hands-on support across employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance and general HR administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support for hourly and salaried employees
- Assist with employee relations, investigations and disciplinary matters
- Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding activities
- Coordinate new employee orientation
- Administer FMLA, leaves of absence and employee benefit inquiries
- Maintain employee records and HR system information
- Support workforce changes including transfers, layoffs and recalls
- Assist with HR policies, procedures and employee handbook administration
- Support EEO, affirmative action and other employment compliance requirements
- Coordinate employee training and development activities
- Prepare recurring HR reports and workforce information
- Partner with plant managers and supervisors on employee and HR-related matters
- Support employee engagement programs and plant events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
- 3 years of Human Resources Generalist or similar HR experience
- Experience supporting hourly and salaried employees
- Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with HRIS/timekeeping systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Manufacturing or plant HR experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels
