Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Engineer
- B.S. Degree in industrial or mechanical engineering required.
- 5 Years of industrial experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Works safely and keeps work area clear of potential hazards, knows and understands company EHS policies.
- Knowledge of operating methods and procedures as they relate to their department.
- Demonstrated ability to perform assigned job functions in a manner which will consistently meet supervisor expectations.
- Deals effectively and cooperatively with established policies and procedures. Interfaces and cooperates with first line supervision effectively.
- Analytical thinking to introduce new innovations to production processes

Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Design, develop, and implement mechanical equipment and automated machinery to support new and existing products. Plan, implement, and maintain mechanical engineering projects and activities in order to meet plant objectives while initiating and supporting continuous improvement of relevant processes.
- This position is full-time during regular business hours and is on-call when necessary. Some travel may be required for this position.
- Translate production and product requirements into actionable mechanical concepts, designs, and automated equipment solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement equipment and automated machinery according to sound engineering standards and lean principles, supporting necessary industrialization activities while improving safety, ergonomics, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Prepare feasibility studies, cost analyses, and equipment recommendations to support capital investment and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, including planning, design, testing, procurement, installation, validation, production handoff, and continuous improvement activities. Evaluate overall performance, analyze results, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering personnel to ensure equipment designs and manufacturing solutions meet operational requirements and support manufacturability objectives.
- Ensure the installation, start-up, validation, and production handoff of manufacturing equipment and automated systems in accordance with established standards and production control requirements.
- Maintain documentation and records for purposes of monitoring, analyzing, and reporting equipment, process, and project performance, initiating and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement measures as needed
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
