Waterline Renewal Technologies, a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions, is a leading provider of engineered products used in the trenchless rehabilitation of wastewater infrastructure for municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential applications. The Company's patented line of products and technologies allows its customers to deliver long-lasting solutions that repair sewer systems and wastewater lines without the need for excavation or property damage, and prevent overflow created by excess inflow and infiltration of ground water into the wastewater system.

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for handling all HR duties for our manufacturing facility in Ottawa, IL. This includes the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This is a full-time, exempt position with a typical schedule of of Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Additional hours and some weekend work as necessary to meet the business obligations.

Essential Functions:

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

  • Process payroll through Paylocity across the organization.

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.

  • SHRM-CP a plus.

Other Information

This role also requires the ability to lift items, bend, or stand as necessary. The environmental characteristic for this position is a office/manufacturing setting. Candidates should be able to life and carry up to 30 lbs. and comply with OSHA standards.
