What are the responsibilities and job description for the Off Road Dump Truck Drivers position at Vealey Group?
The Vealey Group is looking for reliable Off Road Truck Drivers:
This position is in Aurora, NC and requires 10 to 12- hour shifts that rotate days and nights. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE BACKGROUND CHECK, RANDOM DRUG SCREENING AND REQUIRES A VALID DRIVER LICENSE.
A CDL is not needed for this position, but a valid driver's license is.
Willing to train the right candidates for this position.
Working knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulations.
You will be required to sit for long periods of time a hour shift) while waiting to be loaded and moving material from one area to another.
Pre-shift inspections will be completed before every shift.
Must have adequate reading and writing skills because of paperwork/testing is required.
Ability to climb in and off the heavy equipment without assistance on unsteady ground.
You must have the ability to work in all types of weather and not have a fear of wildlife or insects.
Knowledge of construction or mining techniques.
Dependability and communicating effectively.
Comply with all company safety and site- specific policies and procedures.
Safely and efficiently operate equipment.
Perform routine inspections, safety walk-arounds, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
The ability to backup with following safety guidelines.
The ability to drive at night in the dark with minimum lighting.
Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.
May perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must be willing to work rotating shifts including weekends, nights and holidays.
Background checks will go back a lift time and will be reviewed based on our clients guidelines.
Pay starts at $14.00 to $16.00 depending on what shift you are selected for.
