Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laborer/Small Equipment Operator to support our team with various site and equipment-related tasks. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations across our projects, requiring a proactive individual who is eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic work environment. The position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with small equipment and assist in diverse labor activities.
Duties
- Operate small construction equipment such as skidster, loader, dozer, and excavator safely and efficiently under supervision
- Willingness to run small equipment
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling to ensure project progress
- Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials as needed
- Support team members with equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Help with loading and unloading supplies and tools for various projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Ability to operate equipment such as drills, saws, or compactors is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn required skills
- Willingness to run and learn to run small equipment
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or related fields is a plus but not required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to safety standards on-site
