A highly regarded South Florida litigation boutique is seeking an Appellate Associate with 3–7 years of appellate and/or complex litigation experience.

What You’ll Do
The attorney selected for this role will work on sophisticated appellate and litigation matters, including:
- Drafting appellate briefs, motions, petitions, and substantive appellate filings
- Handling state and federal appellate matters
- Conducting complex legal research and analysis
- Supporting trial teams on dispositive motions, post-trial motions, preservation issues, and litigation strategy
- Drafting motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, motions for rehearing, and other complex litigation filings
- Preparing appellate strategy memoranda, issue outlines, and record analyses
- Assisting with oral argument preparation
- Collaborating with trial teams before, during, and after trial to identify and preserve appellate issues
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing
- 3–7 years of appellate or appellate and complex litigation experience
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience drafting appellate briefs, substantive motions, or complex legal memoranda
- Strong academic credentials
- Strong attention to detail and professional judgment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a sophisticated litigation practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior appellate clerkship or judicial clerkship experience
- Experience with Florida state appellate practice
- Experience with federal appellate practice
- Experience drafting dispositive motions, post-trial motions, petitions, and appellate briefs
- Prior experience at a litigation boutique, regional firm, AmLaw firm, or appellate-focused practice
- Familiarity with complex commercial, real estate, fiduciary, corporate governance, securities, or bankruptcy-related disputes
