Responsibilities:
The Senior Product Engineer is responsible for overseeing product development activities:
- Lead connector design activities through production launch
- Develop connector systems in accordance with internal standards, procedures, and customer requirements
- Perform DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and tolerance stack-ups to ensure robust designs
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of technical design issues
- Initiate and supporting full product validation
- Ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and competitive within market requirements
- Support cross-functional collaboration and providing product training as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 6 years of product engineering experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience with DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and structured product development processes
