Senior Security Systems Sales Executive
Charlotte, North Carolina
Commercial New Construction | 50% customer-facing | ~10% overnight travel
This role focuses on growing commercial security systems business within new construction. You’ll own your territory, manage key relationships, and close complex security solutions with contractors, consultants, developers, and end users.
You’ll run deals end to end, from opportunity development through close — working closely with estimating, operations, and internal sales support.
What You’ll Do
- Hit new order and profit targets against an assigned quota
- Build and manage a qualified sales funnel with accurate forecasting
- Develop and execute account and vertical market growth plans
- Win new customers while expanding existing accounts
- Act as a trusted advisor, recommending security solutions aligned to customer budgets and risk profiles
- Lead complex deal execution, including pricing, proposals, and contract closure
- Partner with estimators and internal teams to deliver bids and solutions
- Spend ~50% of time on-site with customers
- Attend industry events and maintain a strong regional network
- Travel ~10% for training and business development
What You’ll Bring
Required
- 3 years of sales experience in electronic security systems.
- Proven ability to sell technical solutions and services independently
- Strong financial acumen (estimating, pricing, margin management)
- Experience developing accounts and closing new business
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (Business or Engineering)
- Salesforce CRM experience
- Background in software, IoT, or networking
- Experience selling cloud-based or data-driven service offerings
