Job Title: Hardware Test Manager

Vantage Consulting is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a global leader in scientific instrumentation. We’re seeking a hands-on Hardware Test Manager to lead and evolve their product validation and quality assurance function.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of test engineers validating new product designs and ensuring long-term reliability of released products.
- Drive the creation of structured test plans, procedures, and schedules across multiple projects.
- Take an active role in performance, reliability, and environmental testing of electronics and sensors.
- Support design validation, root cause analysis, and resolution of hardware and system-level issues.
- Implement and maintain quality processes aligned with ISO 9001 and internal company standards.
- Ensure product compliance with safety and EMC regulations (e.g., UL 61010, IEC 61326, CE).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve test coverage and reduce risk.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of validation protocols, test reports, and traceability documentation.
- Partner with R&D, compliance, and production teams to close quality gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or related technical field).
- 7 years’ experience in product testing, quality assurance, or reliability engineering.
- 2 years of leadership or project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of test equipment, instrumentation, and validation methods.
- Experience with regulatory standards such as UL, CE, FCC, or IEC 61010/61326.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
Desirables:
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and XRAY.
- Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Agile).
- Exposure to design verification in regulated industries or consumer electronics.
