The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and overseeing the intake and logging of incoming shipments. This role includes tracking stock levels, optimizing storage, and maintaining accurate inventory records.The Inventory Coordinator ensures smooth workflow and prioritization of goods to be produced for sale in accordance with the system and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) production schedule. They also support inventory management for components and packaging used in finished goods, providing timely updates and alerts on low-supply items to the Supply Chain team. This role works closely with the Formulation, Production, Distribution, and Supply Chain departments to ensure operational efficiency.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following; other duties may be assigned)Report inventory stock levels to the Production Team and Management to support production planningContinuously monitor finished goods inventory to ensure adequate stockUpdate and maintain information in the vendor management systemProcess purchase orders and generate Bills of Lading for warehouse shipmentsCommunicate regularly with the warehouse regarding inventory movement and availabilityNotify Sales and Supply Chain teams of inventory shortages prior to shipmentCoordinate with carriers regarding shipment status and logisticsGenerate shipment documentation as required by customersEnsure timely and accurate processing of inventory documentation to appropriate departmentsManage inventory compliance in the State Compliance System (e.g., Dutchie)Oversee and update our storefront platform (e.g., Leaflink) for retailers and the Mfused Sales TeamPerform end-of-month inventory counts and report variances to the Inventory ManagerAdapt to evolving company needs and perform additional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus)Proven experience in inventory or fulfillment management within the cannabis industry preferredStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilitiesFamiliarity with inventory management software and toolsSelf-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks throughout the dayValid driver’s license requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENTMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsAbility to work in a warehouse/production environment as neededAbout Vangst:Vangst is the cannabis industry’s hiring platform.
