Shipping and Receiving Associate

Join Value Added Distributors as a full-time Shipping and Receiving Associate to become an integral part of a successful business's day-to-day. We're hiring an organized and detail-oriented person to join our Redgranite, WI team and ensure inventory flows smoothly through the docks and warehouse.

You'll work mornings Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some overtime as needed. If you'd like to positively impact customers and our business, keep reading!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Accurately stocking products on shelves and pulling parts for customer orders
• Carefully pulling and moving products throughout the warehouse using a forklift
• Communicating logistics, shipping, and receiving details with carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
• Performing data entry and maintaining accurate inventory records
• Breaking down incoming skids
• Cross-training in different business areas
• Following all company policies and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement and efficiency
• Smashing targets and helping the company meet business objectives
• Completing additional responsibilities as needed

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE:

• 18 years of age
• Computer proficiency and data entry experience
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet all deadlines
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trust and build relationships within the team
• Sharp attention to detail
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. (using proper lifting techniques), bend, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to read and understand tape measures and digital calipers
• Ability to follow all safety and cleanliness procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High school degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Logistics or supply chain experience
• Forklift certification
• Working knowledge of hydraulic components
