The Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving customer retention and dealership profitability. This leader is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing truck sales team while establishing and maintaining customer-focused sales standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Hire, train, and motivate sales staff to meet sales, CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), and ESI (Employee Satisfaction Index) goals
- Conduct regular sales meetings and provide ongoing product and skills training
- Sales Strategy & Performance:
- Set and forecast realistic monthly and annual sales goals
- Support individual salespeople in achieving their targets
- Develop and monitor prospecting and sales control systems for effective follow-up
- Financial Oversight:
- Prepare and manage the truck sales department’s annual operating budget
- Implement programs to boost unit gross and maximize F&I (Finance & Insurance) penetration
- Inventory & Market Analysis:
- Analyze market trends and sales history to determine inventory needs
- Order new trucks and manage disposal of over-aged vehicles efficiently
- Manufacturer Relations:
- Execute manufacturer programs to enhance dealership profitability
- Professionalism & Collaboration:
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Attend management meetings and contribute to strategic discussions

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial vehicle sales or a related field.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Experience in managing and leading a sales team to success.
- Familiarity with the commercial vehicle industry and its market dynamics.

Salary : $75,000 - $120,000
