Assistant Sales Manager – Commercial Truck Sales
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Assistant Sales Manager to support our Commercial Truck Sales division. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for sales, and deep understanding of the commercial vehicle market. You’ll work closely with the Sales Manager to guide the team, drive revenue, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing sales strategies for commercial trucks
- Support the Sales Manager in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Supervise and mentor sales representatives to improve performance
- Help manage inventory and ensure optimal stock levels of commercial vehicles
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new sales staff
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities
- Assist in preparing sales forecasts and budgets
- Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local vehicle sales regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck sales
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in CRM and inventory management software
- Ability to analyze sales data and generate actionable insights
- High level of professionalism and customer service orientation
Education & Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in vehicle sales, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
