Bartender - Vagabond MKE

• Responsible for preparing and serving drinks according to customer requests or established recipes, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages 
• Greet customers, take orders, recommend menu items, and ensure patrons are of legal drinking age by checking identification 
• Handle cash and card transactions, balance the cash register, and may create specialty drinks or seasonal cocktail menus 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, washing glassware, restocking supplies, and complying with safety and sanitation regulations are essential tasks

• Essential skills include knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, bar equipment, and beverage service 
• Physical stamina is required to stand for long periods and lift heavy items. Bartenders should be observant, detail-oriented, courteous, and efficient 
• Certifications such as TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol may be required depending on state laws, and candidates must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcohol 
• High school education is typically required, and additional training or bartending school can be advantageous
