Senior Accountant

Dallas, TX - Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite

One of Vaco's midmarket clients in the East Dallas area has given us the exclusive search to onboard a Senior Accountant due to continued growth of the company. We've essentially helped rebuild most of the accounting team from scratch, starting with the Controller last year, and have received great feedback on company culture and leadership!

This is a blended role that will include "review level" over the day-to-day nitty gritty AP work being done by the offshore team as well as helping to implement automation, work through liability recons, related close entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, reclasses and assisting with the corporate credit card program.

Day-to-Day

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
• Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Ensure strong internal controls over AP and related accounting processes
• Assist with internal and external audits, including providing schedules and documentation
• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs
