What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant position at Vaco by Highspring?
BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and services in accordance with established purchasing guidelines. Analyze cost factors to ensure decisions are both efficient and cost-effective. Maintain compliance with all purchasing policies and standard operating procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, services, and supplies based on approved purchase requisitions.
Issue purchase orders through e-procurement systems, including vendor follow-up and expediting as needed.
Support internal staff by addressing purchasing-related inquiries and entering requisitions into the SAP system when necessary.
Process the receipt of goods and services within the SAP system.
Provide assistance to vendors and employees in resolving purchasing-related issues.
Manage the organization's corporate credit card program.
Oversee the direct e-procurement website program.
Manage the business aspects of current landline and mobile phone contracts.
Research and identify potential suppliers, including reviewing availability of parts, equipment, materials, and services.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to purchasing, invoicing, and vendor concerns.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
