Payroll Specialist!

Location: Fairfield, OH (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support high-volume, biweekly payroll operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage payroll for a large employee population.

This opportunity is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow, learn, and take ownership of payroll processes.

• Assist with processing biweekly payroll for 1,000 employees

• Review, audit, and enter employee timecards accurately

• Manage and track attendance across a large workforce

• Support digital onboarding and setup of new hires in payroll systems

• Apply and track FMLA and leave requests

• Maintain employee schedules and ensure proper system alignment

• Audit department timesheets daily and process corrections as needed

• Review attendance reports for pay-related discrepancies

• Ensure accurate application of PTO/vacation within payroll cycles

• Respond to payroll-related inquiries across departments

• Maintain payroll records and documentation

• Assist with employee orientations and related administrative tasks
  
  

• Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience for 250 employees

• Experience working in multi-shift environments (manufacturing preferred)

• Strong data entry, organization, and record-keeping skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Paycor, ADP, Paycom, or similar)

• Understanding of basic accounting principles

• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain strict confidentiality

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
