Field Service Tech - WI (Remote)

Our client is a leading manufacturer and integrator of industrial labeling, coding, and marking solutions serving customers across North America. With a reputation for innovation, quality, and customer service, they provide advanced equipment and support services that help organizations optimize their packaging and production operations. As the business continues to grow and expand its customer base, our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Upper Midwest region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically inclined, customer-focused professional who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and traveling to customer sites. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will bring strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to train end users on equipment operation and maintenance.

Location: Remote (need to Sit in the Greater Green Bay area)

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial labeling, coding, and marking equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and field service work at customer facilities.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation and best practices.
• Document service activities and complete required reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional, high-quality support.
• Stay current on industry trends, products, and emerging technologies.
• Participate in company meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities.
• Assist with office-based responsibilities when not traveling to customer sites.
• Identify customer needs and communicate potential product or service opportunities to internal teams.
  
  

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical machinery.
• Experience working in a field service environment with significant travel requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including:
  • Outlook
  • Word
  • Excel
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to train customers and end users on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  
  

• Experience supporting packaging, labeling, coding, or industrial manufacturing equipment.
• OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) experience.
• Familiarity with PLC and PC-based control systems.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Syteline.
• PMMI certification or willingness to obtain certification (company-sponsored).
• Technical certifications, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with flexible packaging or related machinery.
  
  

• Approximately 60% travel throughout the Upper Midwest territory.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of an airport.
• Travel is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional extended travel depending on business needs.
• All travel expenses are covered, including airfare, rental vehicles, and approved business expenses.
• Company-issued mobile phone provided.
• Travel time is compensated.
