Accounting Manager

**This position will require relocation to the Texas Hill Country, a generous relocation package is included but please only apply if you are willing to relocate or already a resident of this area**

A mission-driven organization based in the Texas Hill Country is seeking an Accounting Manager to support financial planning, reporting, and compliance functions across multiple programs and initiatives. This organization is dedicated to strengthening communities through education, leadership development, and outdoor programs that serve individuals and families across Texas.

• Support the annual budgeting and financial planning process, coordinating with program leaders and department heads

• Prepare financial reports and analysis to support leadership decision-making

• Monitor and track restricted donations and designated funds, ensuring compliance with donor intent

• Assist with preparation of board-level financial materials and semi-annual reporting

• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual financial statement audit process

• Prepare Form 990 filings for affiliated nonprofit entities

• Track investment income allocations and intercompany transfers

• Assist with retirement plan administration and contributions

• Prepare ad hoc financial and operational reports to support strategic initiatives

• Support internal accounting functions including depreciation calculations, tax filings, and payroll backup as needed
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA or equivalent professional designation required (CPA tracking applicable)

• 5 years of accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance

• Experience working with financial planning, investments, and restricted funds preferred

• Strong proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office

• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

• Supervisory experience and ability to support team development is a plus
