About the Role
OTS NY Management, LLC is seeking a high-level, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee our day-to-day financial operations. This is not a "bookkeeper" profile—we are looking for a technical expert who can fully own the accounting function, maintain audit-ready financials, and leverage modern tools (including AI) to drive efficiency. You will manage everything from general ledger maintenance and complex reconciliations to cash flow and financial reporting in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.What the Day-to-Day Looks Like:
- General Ledger & GAAP: Managing and maintaining the company’s GL in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Executing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, A/P, A/R, and journal entries.
- Cash Management: Overseeing cash flow, including transfers, payment processing, and reporting.
- Financial Closing: Ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Systems Optimization: Utilizing QuickBooks Online as the primary system and building advanced Excel models (macros, nested logic) for data analysis.
- Modern Workflow: Leveraging emerging AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve reporting accuracy.
Work Environment & Work Arrangement:
This role operates in a professional office environment.
- Location: Primary work is on-site 5 days a week at our New Windsor facility.
- Hybrid Flexibility: For exceptional candidates, we are open to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office / 2 days WFH).
- Pace: Requires the ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-volume workflows simultaneously.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Credentials: Active CPA or CFA certification is required.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Microsoft Excel(INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, macros).
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of accruals, revenue recognition, and financial statement preparation.
- Ownership Mentality: Ability to work independently, troubleshoot errors, and standardize accounting processes.
- Reliability: A consistent track record of meeting strict financial deadlines with a low tolerance for errors.
