Facilities / Process Technician
Duration: Full-time / Permanent

Overview
The Facilities/Process Technician supports daily facility and production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant performance. This role involves preventive/predictive maintenance, real-time equipment monitoring, and compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain facility equipment to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
- Perform repairs to return equipment to safe, proper working condition.
- Take readings, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Troubleshoot process operations and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Utilize instruments such as voltage meters, LEL meters, gas detection meters, pH meters, etc.
- Prevent production interruptions by proactively identifying unsafe or failing equipment conditions.
- Follow all LOTO procedures when servicing equipment.
- Complete preventive and predictive maintenance work orders per manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces in alignment with 5S/housekeeping standards.
- Assist with electrical and mechanical repairs or projects as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure all safety, environmental, PSM, RMP, and permit-related requirements are followed.
- Participate as a member of the on-site emergency response team when required.
- Support additional facility projects and assignments as needed.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience operating and troubleshooting process equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical handling and safe chemical work practices.
- Understanding of WWT systems, chillers, boilers, HVAC units, pumps, gauges, valves, etc.
- Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with hand and power tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in a related facilities, maintenance, or industrial role.
Preferred:
- 8 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment (facilities/maintenance focus).
- Licensed WWT operator (e.g., SC Phys Chem).
- Experience with chillers, cooling towers, emission scrubbers, boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, water treatment, etc.
- Technical trade school certificate or associate degree.
- Military mechanical experience is a strong plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
