Parts Finisher

Job Summary:

Urethane Innovators, Inc is seeing motivated and detail-oriented candidates for the position of Part Finisher in its Quality Assurance Department in New Bern, NC. Part Finishersinspect parts for cosmetic defects, and remove excess urethane from parts by use of hand tools and cleaning agents. Part Finishers are expected to be able to read and interprets company documents, technical drawings, verify dimensions, inspect parts for cosmetic defects, have usage knowledge of common hand gauges, and check and record durometer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings

· Ability to trim, form, or shape custom parts without compromising quality of product

· Ability to use hand gauges and measuring devices

· Clean parts with various cleaning agents

· Determine good parts from bad parts and separates for verification

· Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer requirements

· Maintain workplace cleanliness to avoid product contamination and increase safety

· Operate digital scale to Weight Count

· Pack, wrap, & prepare parts for shipping

· Prioritize product orders to meet deadlines to ensure On Time Delivery

· Proper hand tool use

· Proper handling to avoid damage to parts

· Proper use of P*ersonal Protective E*quipment

· Removing excess Flash from products

· Review Shop Travelers for order accuracy and product conformance

· Sign off upon completion of orders

· Strive to achieve Quality Objective Goals

· Understanding personal impact on the quality of products

· Work within other departments to assist in completion or packing of orders

· Other Duties as Assigned

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Handle all projects with a positive attitude

· Following all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

· Observe all Company policies and procedures

· Support the goals and objectives of the company

· Work independently and also as a team member

Physical and Mental Requirements:

· Ability to communicate with others in order to gather and exchange information.

· Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs as needed.

· Able to work in an manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled

· Must be able to bend, lift, stoop and reach in order to perform all necessary job duties

· Must be able to switch from task to task during the work day

· Prolonged standing may be required

· Work cooperatively with all staff

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

· Ability to Count and Read (12th Grade Level)

· Can follow directions and pays attention to detail

· Completes tasks in time allotted

· No Attendance Issues

· Takes personal initiative- keeps busy and productive- readily accepts responsibility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.94 - $19.00 per hour
