What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic - Industrial position at Urethane Innovators?
Essential Functions**Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Perform highly diversified duties to maintain and troubleshoot existing production machines and the plant facilitys equipment, as well as occasional new equipment installations.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during or after production runs and performs scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting during the repair of production equipment.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on various machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with local safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
**Competencies**
Technical Troubleshooting Capability.
Verbal and Written Communication are critical. Must be able to clearly communicate with operators as well as management regarding issues, status and improvements.
Results Driven.
Initiative
Ability to work unsupervised.
An understanding of down time as it relates to production as well as Maintenances role in supporting production.
