Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, devices, and equipment in commercial construction projects.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to determine wiring layouts and material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company safety policies.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using proper testing equipment.
- Collaborate with foremen, general contractors, and other trades to complete tasks efficiently.
- Mentor and guide apprentices, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety practices.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe manner.
- Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet specifications before project completion.
- Current Journeyman Electrician License (state-issued, required).
- 3 years of electrical experience in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and the NEC.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments.
