This Athletic Trainer position will be responsible for any Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, treatment and rehab of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions during the UNH Women’s Ice Hockey Summer Camp.
Duties/Responsibilities
The University of New Hampshire is an R1 Carnegie classification research institution providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs of distinction. UNH is located in Durham on a 188-acre campus, 60 miles north of Boston and 8 miles from the Atlantic coast and is convenient to New Hampshire’s lakes and mountains. This Athletic Trainer position will be responsible for any Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, treatment and rehab of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions during the UNH Women’s Ice Hockey Summer Camp.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Communication between coaches, parents, and campers regarding medical information.
- Can handle and distribute prescription medication.
- Can diagnose injuries including a head injury.
- Due to the time restraint of the camp, we cannot do a Return-to-play progression.
- Once a head injury is diagnosed, a camper needs full medical clearance from a doctor in order to return.
- Passes all required responsibilities set for Athletic Training standards at UNH.
