Job Summary
The Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Department at CU Boulder invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate! This position will focus on understanding the Asian Tropopause Aerosol Layer (ATAL) within the Asian Summer Monsoon (ASM) system. The primary goals are to investigate the mechanisms driving ATAL formation, characterize the composition of the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere (UTLS) influenced by ASM transport, and lead efforts in model development and evaluation. The postdoctoral researcher will analyze data from NASA and NSF’s Asian Summer Monsoon Chemical & Climate Impact Project (ACCLIP) field campaign.

- Conducting both independent and collaborative research using field campaign measurements.
- Developing and evaluating CESM/CARMA aerosol model simulations.
- Examining dynamical–radiative interactions.
