What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator, LIFTED position at University of California - Riverside?
Under the direction of the LIFTED Director, the Program Coordinator applies professional student services concepts to provide assistance to individuals going through the transfer process into UC Riverside from within the California Correctional Center. These duties include preparing, supporting, and advising students to ensure each application is completed appropriately. This involves working closely with the students at the California Rehabilitation Center and involves time working with students at the facility. Coordinates any and all application updates over the course of the application cycle and assist students with initial matriculation into the LIFTED Program. Works on moderately complex issues. Receives assistance on more complex issues. Must have a reliable means of transportation to get to the education site and also to the campus.
Established in the Fall of 2022, LIFTED (Leveraging Inspiring Futures through Educational Degrees) is a program to establish University of California B.A. degree opportunities for incarcerated Californians, who have completed A.A. degrees for transfer to a UC campus.
The full salary range for the LIFTED Program Coordinator is $25.43 - $42.96 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $25.95 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
