Job Coach

We are seeking a Job Coach to support people with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment in Burke County and surrounding areas. In this role, you will provide job coaching, on-the-job training, and individualized support tailored to each person's goals, strengths, and needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and a strong communicator who can build positive relationships with individuals, employers, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with individuals to identify vocational interests, skills, and employment goals
• Assist with resume development, job searching, applications, interviewing, and job placement
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to help individuals learn job duties and succeed in the workplace
• Support individuals in matching employment opportunities with their strengths, abilities, and interests
• Develop and implement individualized employment and training plans
• Help individuals identify and overcome barriers to employment
• Build relationships with local businesses and employers to support job development efforts
• Advocate for reasonable workplace accommodations when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner
• Collaborate with team members, families, and employers to support successful outcomes
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in a human services, business, or related field preferred
• Previous job coaching or supported employment experience preferred
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; some evenings, nights, and weekends may be required during job training
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
