Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with individuals to identify vocational interests, skills, and employment goals
- Assist with resume development, job searching, applications, interviewing, and job placement
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching to help individuals learn job duties and succeed in the workplace
- Support individuals in matching employment opportunities with their strengths, abilities, and interests
- Develop and implement individualized employment and training plans
- Help individuals identify and overcome barriers to employment
- Build relationships with local businesses and employers to support job development efforts
- Advocate for reasonable workplace accommodations when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members, families, and employers to support successful outcomes
- Degree in a human services, business, or related field preferred
- Previous job coaching or supported employment experience preferred
- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; some evenings, nights, and weekends may be required during job training
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
